August, 1999 Page 1 One day we just decided we needed a vacation! So LeAnne called Supertravel and we booked a four day/three night trip to Cancun about a week in advance. It's not the cheapest way to plan a vacation but we really wanted to go. While we were there we hung out on the beach, went snorkeling on the Moby Dick and took a day trip to Tulum and Xel-Ha. I think the best part, however, was sitting on the beach under and umbrella while waiters brought us foo-foo drinks all day long.
The hotel we stayed at was the Presidente. It's an older hotel but still very nice.
Here are some pictures of the hotel near the pool. Notice the Iguana in the second picture?
This is the beach at our Hotel. Behind me are rows of umbrellas that you can sit under. When you want a drink (or anything) you just raise a flag and a waiter comes running.
